I'm 23 and have been on weight watchers for a couple months now. My mom, 56, has been doing it for maybe 6 months. She's lost 38 pounds and is at her goal weight. She looks fantastic! I am 5'9" started at 188, have lost 10 and have about 25-30 more to go, curtousy of the freshman 15, sophomore and junior 10 and senior who knows what. I got afraid of weighing myself at the end there.

I've loved it. When I'm faithful to the program, I usually lose 1 or 2 pounds a week. If I worked out, I'm sure it would be even more. My mom never worked out(She has RA and it's harder for her to work out. I'm just lazy and have a horrible work schedule-and excuses clearly) and she still lost the 38.

I absolutely love that I can eat whatever I want. Portion control was my problem, and this taught me correct portions depending on what I was eating. You can eat as many fruits and veggies as you want, which really encourages you to choose those options over other choices. Without being restrictive, it guides me toward better food options so I can come to those conclusions on my own. If I want to eat a lot, I need to pick this food. If I want to eat junk, I can only have a tiny bit- but I CAN have it. I just need to adjust in another meal, which gets easier the more I learn which foods are healthier and therefore fewer points. I also just don't crave junk anymore because I found better options I actually enjoy.

My sister eats essentially humas and carrots all day, which I know I could never realistically keep up for the rest of my life, so this was the plan for me. Realistic and easy to follow, even for a picky eater like myself. The aps on my phone let me keep it up wheverever I am, which usually isn't home.

I can be myself and go out with friends and family and still feel happy about my body and my health. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but it's been a lifesaver for me.
