I'm a newbie at this dieting thing!

Hello! I am 37yo, 167lbs and hoping to lose 27lbs. When I was young, oh so long ago, I was a skinny thing, weighing in at 110. Then I did the mom thing and never even tried to lose weight after ballooning up during each pregnancy. I even had gestational diabetes during my second pregnancy! Anyway, I have just recently started running/walking again and dieting for the first time in my life! It sure isn't easy! When the kids and husband are eating ice cream cones I go for a walk to stay distracted and focused. I have recently gone back to school to become a Respiratory Therapist and want to take this time in my life to turn over a new leaf with a new career and a new body. I'm here to find support and tips on how to eat better, too!
