    Make drinking more water easier!
    belafaccia posted:
I know that many people often struggle with drinking an adequate amount of water throughout the day. A lot of people get bored with it, and will end up drinking juice or soda (which is where a lot of those extra calories come from!).

I have seen many people suggest adding a wedge of lemon or lime to their water to make it more flavorful so you drink more water. I must say that I have personally validated that tip, it works for me!

However, when you're on the go with a bottle of water, are you stashing wedges of lemon or lime in your pocket or purse? Probably not! But, I have found this really cool stuff that is 0 calories and does not have that icky artificial sweetener taste. It's called True Lemon! They also have True Lime and True Orange. It's apparently cold-pressed and crystalized citrus. They come in little packets (1 packet = 1 wedge). They look almost like sugar packets (easy to carry with you!)

I LOVE this stuff. Got a few of my coworkers hooked on it too. You can use it in other things too, like club soda and tea! I even noticed in a box of True Lemon I have that there is a chicken recipe in there!

They also came out with lemonade that is sweetened with stevia (which makes me less nervous than other artificial sweetners because it's natural). The website is

Some supermarkets have it in different spots. I've seen it in the baking aisle by the sugars and stuff, the coffee/tea aisle, and where the juice mixes are. Christmas Tree Shoppes had it too. Hope this tip helps you all!

P.S.: Another interesting flavor to add to water: peel and thinly slice a cucumber and put all the slices in a pitcher of water! Keep it in the fridge! I know it sounds weird, but I had water like this at a really nice Spanish restaurant and it was so refreshing!

Thanks for the info, I will look for the True flavors. And, I love cucumber water!

Since I no longer drink sodas, but still feel the need for a little carbonation once in awhile, my new favorite drink is LaCroix flavored waters.

I will have to look into those, I currently use water flavors.. they are little packets that are 5 calories each, I drink the store brand strawberry. I find them in the koolaid isle
have never had cucumber water. sounds strange, what does it taste like?

jhilton: The cucumber thing seemed really weird to me too when I saw it. But it's actually really refreshing! The cucumber Just adds a nice, light flavor to water.
