My husband and I went over to where my daughter's wedding is going to be and discuss a few more things. Then we found out that they were going to have there last band tonight. I don't like social situations so I kind of go and sit and look. My husband loves to dance. He tried all night long to get me to dance, but I didn't want to compete with the 21 year olds, so skinny and small. I remember when I got married and was 5'7 and weight 155. I was happy with that weight. Now I'm 5'7 and 237lbs. I'm so embarrased of my weight. That's why I wouldn't dance tonight. Didn't want anybody looking at me and saying look at that fat old lady. I am trying to lose weight. I don't overeat, I don't eat enough. My meds made me gain the weight. It makes it harder to get off. What I want to know is how I can love myself until I can get back to my normal weight. I'm always telling my husband go with out me I'll stay home. Some time he does and sometime he doesn't.

Jayne,
I was 5' 8" an 152 when I married-- now shrunk to 5'7" and weighed in this am at 195.6 was up to 214 at one time-- it does not matter what u weigh it is what u are inside-- dance with your hubby and enjoy each day--things can change in a instant-- I got a rare disease and had at stroke at 62 yrs old-- I don't think I can even dance --today so bad I was using my cane again--plus we have a walker in the house-- so please my dear be happy your hubby asks you to dance and always go with him --think of the calories u will burn dancing--lucky u
Great exercise --Enjoy the wedding and stop worrying about your weight--in the mean time stick to healthy eating --and dance and u will lose weight--Half of these 20 somethings are so bony its not even attractive-- my hubby can not stand skinny woman--of course one does like to feel comfortable
so get dancing girl !!!!

Yes you do look lovely --and u have a beautiful daughter-- very nice wedding picture--
My tip for anyone who is in Jayne's position-- discuss this with photographer-- we did wedding photography (hubby & I) and yes they can work wonders-- just give them fair warning-- so they can plan ahead--we had many obese brides but their smile and personality shown through-- and we did get some good pictures and they were very pleased

Hi Jayne, Sorry you are so exhausted. That just doesn't sound right. You'll get through this. When you have time, tell your primary care doctor how exhausted you are, could be something undiagnosed still.

I forgot how much everything costs for a wedding! One day you'll forget too, and just have wonderful memories left. We tend to forget any bad things that happen with time!

At the wedding, just relax and try to accept things as they come! And definitely enjoy the dancing, and having someone to dance with! You have great blessings with your family.

Because you are so exhausted I know this might be harder to do, so just do the best you can, and get that doctor appointment. It might take some time, but you and your doctor can figure out how to get you feeling better. Most of us do struggle with a health problem from time to time more or less. You are not alone!

Hugs Jayne!

Hi Jayne! I know you are under a lot of stress with the wedding coming up. None the less, try to sneak 5 minutes 1,2 or 3 times a day to do deep breathing. It'll help make dealing with the stress easier.

I am 5'4" and was 230lbs. when I joined here in Mid July. Now I am 213lbs. So I know how you feel about your looks.

It made it easier for me to accept myself just the way I was, and I was able to move forward from there. Each day I try to practice accepting myself just the way I am that day.

So is the wedding near? Please update us about it.

I do know one thing you are a fortunate person if you still have the option of getting up and out just to go out none the less the blessings of a loving husband who enjoys your company and obviously loves you dearly. The one thing you should think about is how fortunate you truly are and not worry about the way you think others view you. The only concerns you need is living your life and sharing it with someone who loves you in return. There are people in this world who have no limbs and people who have no sight ECT ECT... Just look in the mirror, view how truly special you are just being YOU; and put on your dancing shoes or sneakers grab your hubby, and get to dancing.
Don't think about anything but the wonderful life you should start living and things will all fall in place.
Life has a funny way of getting our attention once we are in motion. Dance you ass off and live the life you want and deserve.
May you dream of music and wake up dancing!
