    sugar withdrawal
    mommaxeli posted:
I think I am finally over the sugar withdrawal! I was consuming a lot of sugar (and carbs) before I changed my eating habits two weeks ago. Yesterday and today, I started to feel the difference. Headaches are gone. I'm no longer craving sugary stuff. Last night in the store, I didn't even give a second glance to stuff I normally would have stood and pondered over and ultimately put in my cart to go home and binge on. I'm actually craving veggies and fruit now! What a difference :)

And yesterday, probably for the first time ever, I ate my oatmeal without any sugar added! It will definitely take some getting used to but is completely do-able. I just diced up some apples and added them with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Next step: Cheerios without sugar :)

Question: My one vice is a cup of coffee in the afternoon. (And I only let myself have it it I've already had 64 ounces of water). Does anyone think adding some artificial sweetner (Truvia) to it will affect my psychological "need" for sweets? I don't want to fall off the bandwagon from one lousy cup of coffee a day!

I heard that arificial sweeteners will make you crave sugar , I think it was on WEDMD so if you have already made it that far I would not go back now. Keep up the good work.
