Hi Judy. Maybe you could fit me in one of your bags when you go.... since all my family is up there too. I miss em alot .
What IS this about this stupid weight fluctuating stuff ? I've honestly been struggling since Easter. And it's not like I overate then. I had no baskets to scrounge through, no candy bars, nothing and it's like that day has been a hinderance ever since.
It's almost like my body just does not want to get to Onederland. I'm hovering between 204 and 207 depending on the day and I've upped my exercise too, it just sux! LOL

Im hoping everyone else is doing ok. Most of you guys are in that Memorial day competition.... I just know that I wouldn't do well with that, I'm too hard on myself as it is right now. But I am rooting for all of you.

Hey Kim,
I understand your frustration with not being able to get to onederland. I have been fluctuating between 204 & 200 for many months! It's like I hit a brick wall at 200. I am eating mainly fruits and veggies and exercising 1 hour a day. I try to be perfectly good but I seem to eat something wrong everyday. I think I have a mental stumbling block that refuses to enter onederland. I entered the memorial day challenge but it hasn't been able to break this barrier!

Maybe it is time to add something like yoga or calisthentics to your exercise plan and maybe look over your food log to see if there is something that you can change there. if you are eating 1200 cals maybe bump it up to 1500 for a while then go back down .
sometimes a little slip can break a plateau just remember to eat healthy stuff...

Happy Friday everyone! I have been busy getting ready to move. I am moving Memorial weekend closer to my job so I don't have so much driving to do. So I will busy as well.

Marybeth ... try shaking your system up a little bit ... one time only add something that is not on your plan .. like a piece of cake or a brownie or something that you have been longing for and can get by with only eating once... I did that when I got stuck at the 200 mark and it seemed to work for me! Good luck

Oh Amber I think moveing can be a little stressful but thinking of all the driving you will be missing and spending gas money too will make the move easier I think
good luck on your move Hugs Judy:)

I look at it this way, Marybeth. At least we have MAINTAINENCE down pat, lol. Maybe Norma and Judy are right. It may be time for a slightly different eating/exercist routine for awhile. I've added walking my mile every day instead of every other, and am walking it faster now, but maybe I still need to bump into something else too.
I have noticed that I had stopped eating hummas so much over the last month and a half and I'd not been eating my pita sandwiches like usual. But since I've gotten back to them I'm feeling , I don't know.... Brighter?? More aware? Something happens to my brain when I eat these two things more often than not, so I'm back on them for good.
I think a lot of it was, though still keeping track of calories, I'd been buying cheaper "filler" stuff since Easter. A bunch of unexpected bills popped up and I've been stressing over money and cutting corners where I guess I just cant. Because the trip of my journey has been suffering.

You moving a little closer to Barb(Abnersmom) or a bit further away? I have wondered if you two had ever made the 1.5 hr trip to meet up.

I hope you will have a very good trip, Judy. Now that you don't have to worry about maintaining your weight too much,as if seems to take care of itself almost, you can enjoy your time away even more.

I have had a bad eating week, and I don't even feel like weighing in, as I know it will be bad news. Luckily a new week is lying ahead.

Good luck with the move, Amber. I have to move at the end of June, as my lease is coming to an end and the owner is selling the apartment. I am busy flat-hunting now, not a pleasant task.

Amber,

Have a safe move!

Glad you will have a shorter commute. Good for time, gas and safety...less time on the roads.

Happy packing!

Kim,

Good way to look at a plateau. I get into the gradual putting it back on.

Sorry to hear about the bill-stress. Hate when that happens. Went through that from Feb. till just now with a daughter. really sucks when there is no place left to cut.

Just remember we have worked so hard to get where we are and we can't let stress change our attitudes about our journeys.

Stay strong!!!

Tomato,

Just do better next week with eating better. BTW, good luck on the flat-hunting, too.

Do something nice for yourself. When my company was here we got some of those low-cal (quite expensive) frozen coffees and that was a treat. I never would do that for "just me". Felt very decadent!

JUDY,

Hope you find a good priced air fare. Have a safe trip. Thanks for the notice about being gone....would wonder about you.

I will be gone, too. From May 14 thru June 16. Will have computer access only at libraries.....good luck with getting there. LOL

You just have a great trip! Tell us about it upon your return.

Barb

BTW, looks like the airlines are going WAY overboard on charging for luggage. That is out of control!!!
