Hi Elizabeth,

I haven't finalized plans with family yet, but I am grilling chicken for some of my neighbors here in my condo community one day this weekend. My neighbor ladies are very supportive of my healthy eating so we will have a healthy meal for sure. Am having lunch at a friend's home on Sat. Am hoping she will have some healthy choices as she knows about my healthier lifestyle. If not, I will take small portions and make the best choices that I can. It's hard when we don't have control of what's served, but we can still make good choices. Happy Memorial Day and let's all remember what the holiday is about. Am so thankful to all the service men and women and their families who have sacrificed for our freedom.

For Memorial Day, I'm seeing my boyfriends' parents for a laidback BBQ. Fortunately, M's Mom is crazy-supportive of my weight loss goals and will be really sweet about not pressuring me to eat a lot.

I think they'll be doing steak and chicken on the grill, then I'm honestly not sure for sides. I'm going to eat a big breakfast and bring a fresh salad and stick to tiny portions.

My big issue for days like that tend to be liquid calories, but I'm hoping to keep that to a minimum by doing just a few shots of gin (at 15 calories each!) with some lime rather than three or four cocktails.
