Hi Erica
welcome to our little group tell us more about your plans to improve your health ? so sorry about that diagnosis of diabetes
but removeing some weight can help with that ..
what we do here is encourage each other along the very long journey .. It does take time to get the weight off 2 pounds a week is great so aim for that ..
Hugs Judy:)

Hi erica, I'm Kim. Welcome to the 50-100 blogsite.
This is a good place to land . We have a few members that have reached their goal of 100( ) lbs lost and are here to help in their maintenance and to give much needed and appreciated support.
Judy, Amber, Debbie, Helene, Marybeth, NormaJ, Tomato,Pi (3point14),Laura, Jean4u and so many others that pop in and give inspiration....
Please clik on our names and read some back blogs to get an idea of whats up with us and what's been going on topic wise for the last few months. It'll give you an idea of our true sense of "community" here.
Also, suggest to start a food and fitness planner either here on WebMD or on Fitday.com . that way you can get started on charting your caloric intake , exercise output and nutritional data for each day. I was never a good journaler for my food intake before I got here. Now , it's a must for me. It's just part of my journey.
That's what we are all on , btw. Journeys. We don't diet here. We are retraining ourselves with help from the community to eat proper sized portions, focusing on nutrition to help our bodies lose the weight and recover from our being heavy in a healthy way.
Of course, we slip up sometimes (and come here to gripe about it then move on lol) and of course we hit nasty plateaus that drain our incentive ... and THAT'S when we really come here. To regain focus from the 50-100s.
Getting started is only the first step. Come join us for good, we love company!
