Happy Monday, Debbie, I've been checking in every day but it seems noone has much to say right now.
I'm doing ok right now, getting back on track and losing a bit from my monthly gain. Wish like heck I could see 100somethingorother, maybe by end of week. I'm really trying to boost my walking though. Now walking my mile every single day and the 8 block roundtrip at night, and still doing that "calorie cycling" to see if it will help. But boy has my weight loss slowed to a snails pace since that first couple of months. It feels like a continuous uphill struggle now.
How's our back? What are you doing to strengthen it now? Are you walking, or jogging anymore? If not, what exercises are you doing to get to your required exercise output? Seems like I am continually still falling a little short on my charts on exercise. And I feel like I'm really pushing to get it all in.

Hi Kim, Happy Mon. to you as well. I know what you mean about the slow down. It seems like whenever we get close to a goal, it slows down. Frustrating to say the least. Great job with the exercise. My back is better. Had to give up the jogging, but I have kept up with the walking and have been swimming to help strengthen my back muscles. Like you, exercise is still the hardest part for me. I can find all kinds of excuses to put it off. Thanks for asking. Eating has been good since my slip over Memorial weekend.

Hey Amber. It is a busy time for everyone and lots more fun stuff to do rather than be on the computer! Hope you are settled in your new home and enjoying it. I've gotten so used to stopping by the board and checking in with everyone that it's weird when it's so quiet. This is my first summer on here so I guess I'd best get used to it being quieter than in the winter. Can't wait until those summer veggies start coming in at our farmer's market. Gonna enjoy them more than ever this year.

Hi Debbie,
I've been in and out of emergency with my mom. Bad side effect with the meds. Had to go back to change. We're meeting with the neuro surgeon on Tuesday for her herniated disk. Just came back from emergency and pharmacy supper and bed.
I'm so exhausted. I hope all this gibberish makes any sense.

Hi, Helene, what happened to your mom and her meds? Jeez sometimes I wish they wouldn't treat patients as guinea pigs. Start a med, change it, start a new one, change it.... lol and you wonder why there are such bad side effects, duh!
Hope she's fine now, though. You must be running yourself ragged trying to help take care of her, make sure you get some YOU time too, Helene. Nothing brings on depression faster than feeling overwhelmed.
Grats on keeping your weight steady over this stressful time. You sure have learned a few new "tricks of the trade" since starting your journey, huh?
Take care of yourself , glad to see you can slip in and blog a bit every once in awhile.

Hi Kim,
I see that your holding the fort with Debbie, Amber and newbies.

Yay for you keeping on the exercises program and you are really flirting with the Onederland, you will conquer. Here is a cheers for "Tuesday" have a great one. I will be back tomorrow to cheers again.

Debbie your doing so great to maintain at 168 you must feel so much better that ant 265 my lord almost 100 pounds. What is wrong with appreciating the moment. You have the tools and the will. You will do find, if today you body is telling you to take a break listen there is no sense in fitting it. Just keep on living. You won't gain back. I'm the proof I've been maintaining since December not by choice but by necessity of survival with all the stress in my life. There will be a lull eventually.

Gee I learned a new English word "lull" I hope I used it in the proper way. hihi

Keep on keeping on !!!!

Hi Helene, Sorry to hear of more health issues for your mother. I know this is a stressful time and you are doing great to maintain.

Thanks for your words of encouragement. Yes, I think my body is making some adjustments in there somehow so the weight is staying about the same - bouncing between 167 and 168. I'd love to see it move down, but I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and hope the adjustment won't take too long.

Love the Louise Hay quote. She's so inspiring. Thanks.

Hi Helene, Yep, you used lul correctly. A "lull" is basically a break in the action, a respite from the chaos . So you did well with your new word.
Gonna hold you to your word about more tomorrow, lol. Hope your Tuesday is going well.

Changing a tire...hmmm wonder how many calories that could burn(?) ummmm forget it. I'd be afraid I'd "break a nail"
No , I've changed a few in my day, but they aren't fun and that job lands squarely in the "man's job" territory. lol
That's what cell phones are for
Anyway, are you sure, Norma that this is you? I've been reading a lot lately about the "Zombie Apocolypse" , are you sure that you aren't actually "back from the dead"?
O.o bahahahahhaaaa anyhow , sorry you are still looking for a job, but the yard sale sounds fun hope the weather is beautiful for you.
