WOOT! YOU GO GIRL!!!
YAY YOU Did my mile this morning too. It's 80% humidity down here this morning, It feels like a friggen sauna and smells like a subtropical jungle out there. My trail is mostly wooded and surrounds a small natural water runoff/reserve which has beavers, lilies and cypress. It's pretty but I kept expecting to hear monkeys and the squawks of parrots this morning in this heat. LOL.
This is definitely gonna be an "indoor" day as much as I can make it , due to the heat, so I've got to break down and attack my weight machine for a bit(which I'm not all that into ) then I'll do some Wii tennis prolly, then later, after dark I'll do my pm walk, hopefully it'll either rain and get it over with, or at least be a bit cooler when the sun goes down. We shall see.

I am having mug o'tea and will walk for 1 hr. in park before 12 (noon).

I already did my a.m. "drill" (wall push-ups, stretches, frog jumps, jog in place AND glass of water) BEFORE I leave bedroom. I know it's sort of OCD, but it gets me priortized.

What you are doing, Helene, is making your exercise THE priority. That is what we all need to hear and DO!

Wow! Helene, glad to see you back with it. I know you feel better for having exercised, at least I always do.

I got in a 45 min. walk and swimming on Sat. and walked 30 mins yesterday. Am going to try to get in 30 mins. this afternoon in between getting home from working and going out to dinner with friends. It will be a tight squeeze, but I WILL do this. I'm bouncing between 166 and 167 and really want to see the scale go down before the end of June. My mini-goal is to make the 100 lost mark by June 31.

I have wondered about her too. Hope she is well. I also, wonder about momaxelli. She dumped me on FB, so I don't even get to see how she's doing there. I just like to hear from folk every once in a while even if they have moved on from wanting/needing this board. There's a kinship amongst us that I feel anyway. Happy Monday everyone and keep up the good work with the exercise. You all are inspiring me.

Debbie,

Good for getting that exercise in. I like your mini goal to make it to the 100 gone FOREVER!

I had to re-focus back to my "challenge" goal of going down 4. I managed to go up 3.5 AFTER going down 4. But I was down .5 and that kept me going. Now I am down 2 and really working hard.

I read somewhere that in maintenance the "successful" don't gain more than 5 without putting a stop to it. I can really see that maybe more than 5 will get back those old habits.

Anyway, good work adds up.....keep at it!

Barb

Happy Tuesday!

I can see that 5 lbs would be a tippng point too. I'm so afraid even right now that I'll get back up to 200 that I'm gonna push like crazy this afternoon to get in all of my required exercise for the day and am doing a "down calorie" day to make sure I can get back on track.
I'm just not far enough away from that ominous 200 pt to let myself slip up .

Congrats on the Onederland Kim...You are so right .. it doesn't take much to knock on that door to the 200's again. I am fighting like heck to keep as far away as I can.

Went to the gym this morning for 2 hours then job hunting.

Thank You Norma J. Glad you are still able to get to the gym. Exercise definitely makes a difference in keeping the lbs at bay, that's why I was so scared about all the tstorms we'd had. I hate hate hate exercising inside.

Well, I got around and did that 4 min Tabata thing after lunch. I'd forgotten how hard that stinking 4 minutes can be, lol. But it got my blood circulating enough that I went to Walmart, did my charcoal in the cart thing again, this time 5 circuits around the outside aisles, then I went to the park and got in my mile finally. But boy, I am pooped now. Too much all at once I think and now of course my hip is singing. Ah well. Had to make up for yesterday's shortened exercise amount. So I did it.

Kim,

Good for you to see the importance of not getting "weak" and taking a "break". This is why I think this board and support is the critical ingredient to help us stay on our journeys.
