I have a PDF link here that gives some ideas for gourmet flavored popcorn to make at home.
Now , take these recipes with a grain of salt and use your heads here.
I'm not suggesting that we need to use all the sugars, corn syrups , reg flavored jellos, etc. I'm suggesting , use these as a starting point, then use some smarter substitutions for the higher fat, sugar, calorie ingredients given. kk? But some of these would be easily changed using lesser amounts of butter or heart healthy butters(or butter flavored cooking spray), sugar free jellos etc. It's just that sometimes facing a bowl of plain popcorn is a bit too much to bear after a bad day, you know??? I'm trying to lose weight and eat healthier, not be a martyr.

Kim,

I have heard of people putting the baked kale chips in their air-popped popcorn. I actually put 1/2 cup of "peanut puffs" (Iget at Aldi, they come from Germany and you can only get them in Oct.. Aldi carries specialty items for specific times of the year.) I eat this with about 4-5 cups of plain air popped popcorn.

I have bought the sprinkle cheese flavors you can put on popcorn. Carried in the popcorn isle of grocery stores.

Mrs. Dash, salt free, has a variety of flavors that can be used.

I have read about vegans using some type of "yeast" for a cheese substitute.

Would like to know what everyone has tried.

Yeh Judy, I'm a big believer in PAM butter flavor, lol. I've done that and sprinkled Morton lite salt and a pkt of stevia for months now for a kettle corn effect, but this PDF has a lot of diff flavor combos that I'd not even thought about, like strawberry jello, I'd use sugar free of course. Or either of the Cajun ones sound good too.

I like the Mrs dash's , the sprinkle cheeses , I'm worried about the sodium content I guess, but that PDF has some flavor combos I think would be good to try.
