Thought I'd check in one last time before I head to the beach tomorrow for a week. I hope everyone has a Happy 4th and a good week staying on plan. I have "planned" to splurge on 3 meals while I'm gone. I think I can do this and still stay the course. Of course, my twin grandsons will want lots of junk food that they don't eat at home, but that's okay - they are super fit soccer players and can splurge for a week. I may try to check in at some point, but can't be sure. Will miss you guys. BTW, 163.8 this morning - LOL, bet it won't be that next Friday!

Debbie,

You just enjoy the grandsons and the beach and your "planned" splurges. Life's too short to live it without some flexibility.

I think of this lifestyle-journey as one that I have some wiggle room, but that doesn't mean I won't get back to my regular healthy foods. I also seem to be including more exercise in each day and that has been really helpful too, in keeping the weight off.

BTW, congrats to YOU on the 163.8! What you said about it won't be that on Friday, well you saw it and that means even if you go up a bit.....you can bring it back to 163 again. I know once we change from the "diet" mentality, it is a whole different thinking about how we eat and exercise. I know you will get back to your plan after your week at the beach.

Have a great time!
