    I started my journey in June of last year at 250 unofficially 248 officially. I went on a plant based diet and eat mostly fruit. I was unemployed, severely obese, type 2 diabetes, severe obstructive sleep apnea (Using a bipap machine to sleep) asthma, acid reflux, migraines and allergies. I could barely walk from my couch to my front door without being breathless. Fast forward to today. No medical symptoms and I have not even had a cold since I started my journey. I have a job finally! I am almost to the century mark for weight loss. I ran 20 miles on saturday at a 9.08 minute mile. I am also still not taking any medications. Just letting people know that if you change your diet and move your body you to can realize your goals. I am currently 5'10' and 153lbs.

    Congratulations on meeting your goal. Impressive to lose so much in such a short time. I too have many of your medical complaints- HTN, Sleep apnea and frequent bronchitis, asthma, etc. I will keep in mind that these can be improved by correcting my diet. What did you do to follow a plant based diet? No meat or just add more veggies and fruit? Would like to know. Antway, I am glad for you and wish you the best to maintain your loss. carol

    Thank you for sharing your story. You are the proof that it is possible to be healthy and happy.

    To me you are at the century mark and you deserve all the prays. This is the beginning a a new adventure maintenance.
