Just wanted to check in with everyone.
Gang all here?? How's the weekend treating you?
Saw the new Iron Man movie last night. Some really stunning action scenes and one boring dud of a 5 min section in which I wondered if we'd made a mistake, lol.... No mistake, just a slow spot in an action movie.... for "storyline purposes" ..... WHYYYYYYYYY!!!??? lol
I love RDJ though I hate Gwenny(she is just too... perfect, and tries too hard to prove that she not, for my taste)... but I make allowances so I can see RDJ

Judy, I'm glad that you have that memory to cherish. No one expects younger family members to pass before them...not even if they have cancer. That's what hope is. It keeps us going, but doesn't really help us prepare for inevitable outcomes.
please know that my thoughts are with you and your family.
Prayers and huggs

Sorry for the passing of your niece Judy, and that she was part of you meeting your hubby. I bet her twin brother is really, really feeling the loss. I have heard twins often talk of how much closer they are to their twin than to anyone else.

I'm here, now what's the Whole 30? If it's something related to Iron Man, I wouldn't have any idea because I haven't seen a movie in quite a long time. Once in a blue moon I'll get one from the library, but not lately because the DVDs are usually covered with scratches and goo.

Judy, I'm sooo sorry about your niece passing away. Hope she didn't have to suffer too much. Too bad that she had a false hope of it getting better, only to come back. That happened to my Mom, too. The doctor told me that the chemo she was getting would do the job, only to have it return.

BTW, did she smoke? If so for how many years? Is her twin healthy? (hope so) How is he doing with the sister's passing away?

Interesting that they were in a stroller when you met your hubby!

jis4judy replied to jean4u's response:
Yes Barb a smoker and a drinker I talked to her about what smoking was doing to her body but she was feeling great at the time , so I figured out how much money they would save giving up smoking etc and even that didn't help. I lost 3 family members in the last 3 years that died from smoking lung cancer...she was the youngest of them ..
I think my family has a tendency to have lung issues lots of asthma in the family so smoking should have been avoided altogether.. I think her twin brother is fine a nonsmoker but he if taking it hard.. of my sisters 7 children 4 of them are now gone all had a form of cancer but 1 had heart disease.
this is sort of weird . I was very fond of this niece
I am pretty sure the smoking was going on since she was maybe 15 ...most of her short life ..My sister mother of my niece died of cancer too from guess what smoking started with lung cancer then to the lymph nodes then to brain and bones... you would think the kids would have learned something from that //
Oh I am ranting again
Hugs Judy:)
