Hello all,

Feeling almost human.

Weight 217.6
up because of salt yesterday.

.5 c rolled oats, prepared
.5 c. Blackberries
.5 oz walnuts
1 peach
2 oz tostitos
.25 c very hot salsa'
2 oz pork tenderloin
2 slices whole wheat bread
Broth from one can Progresso beef stew soup
1 c. skim milk
2 t. hersheys cocoa unsweetened
1 c. green tea

my rainbow is blue, orange and red so far.

Everyone is doing so well, I hate to introduce a note of sadness. My stepfather's health is failing rapidly. He is becoming dehydrated. They cannot put him on IV there so they suggested that he be admitted to the hospital. He has refused and so he is now on palliative care. Barring a miracle, he cannot last much longer so I intend to ask my mom if I can come stay with her this week. She is extremely reserved so at the moment I can get her to say "Yes" I will move in. I may not be able to do a proper leave-taking here and didn't want you to worry. I will start trying the moment I no longer feel sick.

This will not be a sad passing. He is 85 and everyone has come to the conclusion that it will be a mercy. My mom seems very composed, but would welcome your prayers.

Smoochies,
Sharon

ausgram replied to SharonNVirginia's response:
Sorry Sharon. 85 isn't that old. 95 is, but not 85. Maybe he will pull out of it. Maybe he knows his time is limited and he just wants to get it over with. My grandma was that way. Don't wear yourself out trying to care for him. If he was rea bad, they would call in hospice.
