    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

    Something to celebrate..... maybe

I have been told not to say anything to anybody.... I'm assuming that means family. But I not only have my graduation from OBESITY to celebrate.....
I just got home from my walk and everyone was standing around talking. This was a major UH OH moment... I could feel it coming...

Looks like we are gonna have a new baby in the family. Alex and Monica have done two home tests in the past couple of days and both came up PLUS.
I'm shellshocked right now. Happy? Yes. Alex will be a great dad... Monica is a bit young and ALOT all about Monica right now.... She'll be a good mom but I think it'll have to dawn on her that the sun and moon will now rise on the child and not her in Alex's mind, lol

I love babies, but like puppies, they tend to grow up. I'm worried about the money situation, of course. But it's something that I cannot change and thus cannot let worry me into a different eating pattern.
This is new and anything new is exciting and different, but it doesn't need to be stressful....not YET anyhow.

So, my second grandchild....... yep.... I'm STIll shellshocked, lol......

Whoa!!! Holy Smokes!!! Crikey!!! I get the gobsmacked part of it. Of course a new baby is a wonderful treasure and you will have so much joy, especially if that little bundle stays near you. You've said how much you miss your granddaughter. So I am DELIGHTED for you. But how ARE you with change?! LOL! There's a whole passel of it coming, girl! Isn't life a gas! As soon as you get comfortable, you realize you've forgotten to fasten your seatbelt! Whohoo, Kimmy!

Congratulations on the imminent wiggler! Just think, you can be the healthy grandma who doesn't load their grandkids down with sugary snacks to keep them quiet. My grandma used to think my parents didn't give me enough candy so she used to send me presents packed with candy instead of wrapping. My other grandma, the sane one, the one that is still alive, slipped animal crackers or a banana in my pocket instead. Better choices than candy, anyway.

I hope the baby is healthy and happy, and that the mom has an easy pregnancy and adjusts well.

WOWzers!! Kim! How exciting. So happy for you and your family! I have my only grandchild far away and have only been able to see her once in her 7 mos. She's a doll.

With that said...It sounds like you made beautiful children who in turn will do the same! Miracles never cease to happen.

    UPDATE....
Alex and Cody are working till close tonight and I figured I'd slip and say something to Michael, so I STRONGLY suggested to Monica that she somehow let Michael in on the big news...
I came out of the bathroom and he'd already arrived. He came into the bedroom with this HUGE grin on his face. Asked him what he was smiling about...." I'm gonna be a GRANDPA again! "

Well, so much for stressing over if we can help afford this new additon or not. It's pretty much a done deal, lol.

The twins for the first 4 years called my mom MeeMaw. lol
I kinda like that too, lol

whatever. As long as it's a healthy baby and grows to be strong, moral, and happy . IDK.
