Readiness is totally a state of mind. You know that song-I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that?

I think what we need to say is "I'll do anything to reclaim my health and energy." That rules out fad diets, diet drugs, injections and other quick fixes. It's not PRIMARILY about the number on the scale or the size you wear. It is primarily about taking the best possible care of the body God has given you. Each of our situations are slightly different, but there are certain base concepts we share:

Exercise more

Eat more vegetables.

Eat less sugar.

Make your calories count. Don't waste them on Cheetos, Tostitos and Moose Tracks which provide low nutrients compared to more healthful choices.

Get better sleep.

Find ways to alleviate your stress.

Talk to yourself positively. (I can do this. I have improved, etc.)

Count victories in healthy changes made. Measurements and weight will follow unevenly

Embrace each day as a chance to progress and learn.

Smoochies,

Sharon
