    Eat a Rainbow Challenge Friday Nov 22 2013

    Good Friday morning

    I hope you all are eating a rainbow of fruits and vegies
    I watched DR Oz last night and he says eating spinach and other good fruits and vegies can reduce the triglycerides fat in our blood. another good reason to eat a rainbow
    weigh in 150 even that 149 didn't last long

    Breakfast
    1/2 C bran flakes
    1/4 C heart to heart
    1/4 C raisin bran ( Purple)
    1/2 red grapefruit ( red or Yellow)
    3.2 Oz strawberries ( red )
    1 C black coffee

    Dinner today is a mystery because I have to shop again to get fresh vegies for this weekend

    will try to take a walk today after shopping looks dreary out there today no sun just darkish and likely to rain
    I started up my weight lifting yesterday only did 15 minutes 10 reps of each of 7 moves and 2 sets I usually do 15 reps 2 sets but since it has been a while I started low easing back into it

    Hi Judy, The weight lifting is probably why your weight went up. Frustrating I know.

    AM weight 152

    Breakfast: 1/2 C oatmeal, blueberries, walnuts, almond milk, black coffee
    Lunch: tuna sandwich on wheat thins, apple
    Dinner: Chicken breast, spinach, corn.

    Didn't get to run, but did a lot of walking on campus and took 4 flights of stairs twice yesterday.

    breakfast: 1 small poppyseed muffin, raspberries, blackberries
    2 cuppa 4 servings 1/2 and 1/2 for coffee tho. like in teaspoons

    lunch: shrimp 10 small, cocktail sauce, 1 wheatthin turkey sandwich diet drink

    dinner: rotessiore chicken minus skin, 2 servings guac!, 1 serving tostitos, 1 oz cheddar, lettuce, tomato, hot sauce


    Now i'm really hungry!

    dinner
    7.5 oz steak with mushrooms
    1 C broccoli flowerettes
    1.7 oz red potato
    salad with
    1.5 c mixed greens
    1 slice red onion
    4 slice cucumber
    1/4 bell pepper yellow
    1 radish
    5 black olives
    1 roma tomato
    1 T wb robusto dressing
    1 t red wine vinegar



    1 c pineapple

    6.7 oz apple
    1 1/2 T peanut butter


    2 c green tea with lemon

    2 oz pistachios in shell

    1/3 c greek ff plain yogurt
    3/4 c sliced strawberries
    1/4 C blueberries
    1/2 T honey
    1/8 c gg crunchy pecan cereal

    1 square dark chocolate 85%
    2 prunes
    2 dried apricots
    total cals were 1657
    I do believe I had a full rainbow
    did walk in the rain after shopping this morning

    I had a banana for a.m. snack
    had 2 cuties tonight for snack

    I jammed my toe(s) and now the bottom of my foot is numb swollen and it feels like its coming up my ankle and calf.

    Hi Judy, your so faithful - WOW! I love coming here cause you always try to keep us on track with the colors. I love it. It sure helps. I am not losing right now and I know cause my foot isn't completely healed yet, but soons it is, I'm going to exercise like mad. I'm holding my own anyway. haven't gained any. YAY!

    Hi Ausie just maintaining is good while hindered with a sore foot that's good ,,, ok don't start to hard on yourself ease into the exercise after injury so you don't get hurt again

    Yay Aussie and Kathy! Not gaining is good. I'm trying to take off two lbs. before Thanksgiving. I've got to watch my food and exercise carefully for the next few days. Let's do it!

    Kathy, you think taking 2 lbs off by T/G is a good goal? It would take me a lot longer then a few days to get 2 lbs off me. ha ha ha!
