    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Hi Laura. I only had 3 gifts to buy/ wrap this year as the kids want cash and my Dad and his wife want a gift certificate to a restaurant. On New Years Eve is our group home party so by then I will have to get something small for the guys I work with. Are you staying home for Xmas or do you go to a family member's house?

This is a weird Xmas for me because my son won't be here at all and it'll just be me, my DH, my daughter and my sister. We've all decided to scale back a bit because we're all suffering from post wedding financial overload. LOL! It means there isn't as much for me to do and it feels wrong somehow not to be run off my feet. I keep remembering last year with nostalgia because my knees were still working just dandy and everyone was here.

Merry Christmas to you all, too! Went out again last night to get other things I needed for Christmas, when on the way home my steering went out and I landed in a ditch inside interstate cloverleaf. Yep, you heard right. Well in was dark, wet, drizzly, cold. But it wasn't bad otherwise. Called 18 year old son and asked him to help, a good samaratan stopped to offer help, officer stopped and called a tow to pull car out of ditch, drove wobbly home at 30mph top speed, tow truck and son in front. Parked in nearby business lot due to steering issue. Rode home with son and shopping bags.

Hubby and 19 year old son were in Indianapolis for son's band paid gig, then straight home for winter college break. So today was a little more relaxed. 4:00 dinner together, more last minute shopping by car or internet for most of us except 16 year old daughter who was painting and drawing and relaxing.

Now time for bed. Good night!

Laura. I'm so sorry that you had an accident. Scary! Good thing that you weren't hurt and I'm very glad that you got help right off the bat. It's nice to have someone stop to help, especially when the weather is so bad.

Stay home, order online, drink hot cocoa....
    Oh, that's for me, lol

Stay safe out there, Laura and everyone...

Wow Laura, now that your home safe, what you going to do about your car? That happened to me once, but we were living in Miami and it was warm out. It didn't take much to fix as I recall. Hope it doesn't cost you much to get it fixed.

I ordered most of my things for the family on line. So I didn't do a whole lot of shopping this year. Just a whole lot of wrapping and baking.
Now I'm pooped and hopeing tomorrow isn't as hectic as today was. Going to have 13 people here and 1 two year old baby. Two years old. Ohhhhhh me, ohhhhhh my!! ha ha!

Kathy, since your knees were just fine a year ago, maybe there is more hope for better rehabilitation? Merry Christmas!

Thank you Rachael. I am fine thankfully. Grateful it was a one car accident and not a serious one even though it was a little scary. The car is going to be towed to dealership for assessment. Might just be the wheel rod, might be more. We'll find out and go from there. It is a 2002 corolla, so we've had it a while.
