That is a pretty salad! Yum! Good morning Everyone!

Weight was down 0.6 this morning to 209.2 . It's a grand feeling to start this foggy foggy gray day! I woke up at 5AM and was hungry, but then I remembered that doctor who said that's what you want to happen overnight so you can deplete the glycogen in your liver and start to burn fat. So I went right back to sleep for a few hours (4!) to let that fat BURN BABY BURN!

Our sump pump is chugging away to get rid of the water in the boiler room, but at least the roof didn't leak!

The plan today is to keep the calories right around where they've been all week. That means today is the thrilling eggs for lunch and hamburger patty for dinner. I'm a happy camper at "Camp Doin' It"

Way to go Kathy!! Aussie is holding steady too! Can't forget Queen Judy either!!

Dale and I went to dinner, got our mushroom appetizer. They were so good. I should have gotten another order to go with my leftovers. I had the bacon wrapped filets with a dry baked potato, salad and a piece of garlic bread. Dale got a bacon cheese burger with fries and coleslaw. I have half of my entree and some of his coleslaw for lunch. I had water to drink and I must confess I had some of his fries. It's been a while since I've had any and I really don't feel too bad about it.

I've got my yogurt, blackberries and snow peas to munch on until lunch time rolls around.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Judy, Great Salad! Very eyecatching and it's making me think that I've been out of strawberries for a few days now... must...get ... strawberries!!

I'm late today. I'm now firmly in my premenopause and am having severe night sweats. (not cool )
Consequently , no AM weigh in. In fact, no AM.. got up to get Michael off to work and promptly went back to bed...till 12:30!

No AM, No breakfast....

Lunch , 1 can tuna mixed w/ 1/2 med smashed avocado folded into a full heart healthy pita, w/ shredded lettuce, baby spinach and diced tomato

Dinner will be boneless, skinless chicken thighs (2) cut into "nuggets", rolled in ff ranch and panko and "oven fried" w/ honey mustard dip
-homemade sweet potato fries

Late snack if needed, Lemon Chobani w/ 1/2 c blueberries

Haven't been doing enough exercise lately. Feeling really blah.
But my face got severely sunburned in Texas and is so bloodied in patches I look like a leper colony survivor , or one of the walking dead. It's awful. I have kept my hands off of it, but the blankets must be abrading it when I sleep because I wake up with even more blood on my cheeks and nose.
It's so embarrassing I have limited my outings to only doing the absolute necessities and even then I'm getting some very strange looks.
Hopefully by this weekend it'll be more or less healed. I can't go on like this. I need groceries.

WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH well that's my sad story for today. No pity party please, lol

Holy Crap! I had some wicked sunburns as a kid, but I never had one that bleeds! It sounds awful but since you don't have time for a pity party, just slather some Crisco onto your face and mutter about your new skin esthetician while you're pushing the shopping cart around the grocery store. Hair rollers might just complete the look. Selfie, please.

That chicken thigh thing sounds delish. Are you telling us that baby is so amazing that he lets you sleep til noon? Oh right, it's Grandma telling tales again!

In your dreams , Kathy!
I couldn't pull off a selfie like that even if I wanted to. I never mastered the art of putting rollers into my hair. Although I could probably look like the muttering Crisco Crazy lady walking the Walmart aisles... no one would notice of course, what with all the other Wal-martians wandering the store.

The burn came from the fact that I was still a total newb in the scuba mask department.
Underwater, the masks slightly magnify everything. The frames on mine are almost clear and the face glass is real glass , as on all scuba masks.
Little did I realize that they also magnify any sunlight above water. I mean seriously magnify it. Saturday and Sunday were both overcast, but obviously whatever sun was there, it hit my face 10 fold.
Now I know, and will be appropriately slathered in 100 spf across my mask area and 60spf everywhere else.
I've never had one bleed either. This is like a 3rd degree burn across my cheeks, temples, nose and forehead.
Just awful.

Yes, that salad looks great!! Kim, i'm a specialist in burns.
(take some Vaseline and cover the area with bandage and keep moist. That is what treatment is now days to keep the burn moist and covered. I realize it might be hard to do during the day but at night it actually will feel better. Ask at the pharmacy for the right kinda bandage and tape to keep it on.
you may be able to use paper tape on ur face.
just a suggestion....

brkfst: 1 corn muffin homemade, 3 bites of oatmeal and 1.5 cuppa with 1/2 1/2

lunch: friend came over with her 3 year old grandson...
My poor old lil lady friends. Life is really being hard on them.

I had a turkey, provolone tons of veggies and honey mustard on whole wheat bread.
strawberries, black berries, raspberries

dinner: broccoli, a few tater tots and grilled chicken
I'm not sure if i'll have a salad or not.

my friend who works for us went to bank and getting a starbucks for us.

Thanks Keet, I'll send Michael out for the stuff tonight. It would have to be paper tape, as I'm allergic to the vinyl types out there. But vaseline and gauze I can sure do.
4 days of this is enough. I want to get back into my life.

Kimmy that's exactly why I am not a beach girl I burn easy
I had a burn on my face like that a while back ..
I think it may have been responsible for the 2 skin cancers I had on my face they were removed about 8 years ago.
so I stay away from the sun use sunscreen even in winter
Get the stuff and keep it moist ... Is there a special sunscreen for swimmers ? Hugs Judy

PS Oh BTW I made the chicken salad with avocado in it and it was super yummy

Hi everyone. I didn't follow plan last night and went to the Chinese buffet late. Then this morning, I missed breakfast taking one of the guys I work with to the doctors. Well I was famished afterwards at 10:30A and got myself a Mcdouble. Eventually, I got a grip asking myself what are you doing?

Lunch was healthier w 2 red beet eggs, a cheese stick and a 6 oz container of fresh fruit (pineapples, grapes, melon). I was still away from home and this seemed like the best choice.

I think it's funny the way the buffet food and the McDonald's really don't stick with me, but the eggs, cheese and fruit satisfy my body and I am not looking for "something" after. I need to make myself some healthy convenience foods so I am not tempted to run to the buffet when I don't feel like cooking. Like the red beet eggs (I love em), and hard boiled eggs and salsa. Cook some chicken breasts and wrap them in foil to unwrap, microwave and eat.

Anyway, dinner is what was planned for yesterday--chicken breast and roasted spaghetti squash. Maybe a yogurt and banana for snack.

Kim- I hope your burn gets better soon. If you had the time and money you may want to got to the doc. Maybe they have something that'll protect your face and promote healing. I really feel for you. That's a h*ll of a lesson to learn about the scuba masks.

Hi everybody,

I had a long day. I woke up and did my T25 workout video. And I had 2 boiled eggs and toast for breakfast. I had a cheese pita sandwich, an apple and some trail mix day. The day was long because I didn't have much to do. Just watched some tv and read information on the internet. I was actually sort of bored today and I am getting bored with my exercise and nutrition. I get bored easily. I thought this vegetarian nutrition plan would stir me on but I'm losing interest after a few days. What's wrong with me? Well thank you for letting me vent.

Tia, I see the pounds coming off so whatever you're doing is working.

I do understand about the bored thing. Try mixing it up some more with different kinds of beans, lentils, seeds such as quinoa. Try different kinds of hummus with your pitas. How about a caprese salad - fresh mozzerela, tomatoes, basil with a basalmic vinaigrette. I like some red onions with mine. You could even put that mixture in a pita. I think it's possible you need more flavorful, maybe spicy ingredients. Get some premade pesto sauce - there are all different kinds - and experiment with different vegetables. Try roasting some eggplant and portabella mushrooms and make a kind of sandwich with them and some pesto and a little cheese. Roasting vegetables gives them a whole different flavor. One of my favorite things is to put salsa in cottage cheese.

BTW venting is good. It keeps you from bottling frustrations up inside.

Hope I was able to help a bit.

Michelle
