    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    GM all,

Planned my meals so far I have followed the plan. Lots more greens, I made Green Juice too (kale, green apple, celery, ginger, lemon and cucumber) Walked the park, still have to stop every now and then but I made it. Measured it (1 mile exactly!) Knees and back still an issue but I am pressing forward. It was a beautiful day out yesterday. Today a little rainy but not expected to rain all day. Gonna get my walk in somewhere. Lunch is salad with avocado. Snack is a banana. Dinner is Carrots and Califlower with Salmon. Other snack is sugar free Jello pudding. I am now using the weight and fitness tracker on this site. Very nice tool. So Far So Good! Have a blessed day

Morning reddy, I'm glad you are getting settled into your new routine. With the walking, I promise this is true, if you keep it up o daily basis then you will begin to notice your back and leg problems will get better. They may not go awa altogether, but the stronger your "erector" muscles, the easier it is on all of your joints.
If you do suffer from lower back probems, try the 12 min Seated Core exercise on the Resources Exercise link. It's an easy way to burn about 80 calories and it tightens those tummy muscles which , in turn, help support your spine .

I agree with Kim. You WILL get stronger and it WILL get easier!
And also, once weight comes off, that will also help because it will have less pull on what aches.
