Hi Judy,

Good to see you here. I had cereal for breakfast and I am going to the gym this morning. I will have strawberries or bananas for morning snack and perhaps a veggie sandwich for lunch. Well it sounds like you have been getting lots of rain there, it has been sunny and warm here. Well take care and have a good day.

Good morning all

As have others, I've been struggling. My bi polar depression has been getting the best of me. I was able to get into my psychiatrist on Tuesday and he added another temporary med to my daily "cocktail" to help me through it. Hopefully I'll come out of it soon.

I had gained a few pounds while I was at my mom's last week, but have taken it off. I haven't been eating well since I don't care about anything, but my husband is helping me to eat regular, good meals. I'm so fortunate to have him.

So I am going to start measuring again today. I'm making a turkey breast for dinner so that will go well with some fresh veggies. I'll have a salad for lunch, and my usual Raisin Bran Crunchy Granola and dried apricots for breakfast. I've been skipping breakfast which is a bad thing, so back at it again today.

Thanks to all of you who continue to post everyday.

I hope that everybody has a great day.

XOXO
Janine

Hi Judy, Tia and Janine!

Judy, veggies all chopped up today? ha ha! That's different.

Weigh In - 183

Yesterday I had 2 slices of pizza, fresh cherries and that was it. Sheesh, I have to quit eating like that.

Today I'm planning on having chicken breast and a bunch of steamed veggies. I got a small zucchini out of my garden yesterday. Hopfully my other 2 different squash will start to produce. I see a small yellow one starting. Nothing else grew tho but I will enjoy the squash.

Janine, I'm sorry you are having a struggle.

Where's Keet?

Kathy, howd your eye appointment turn out? You still can see good? No problems? Hope not.

Well everyone, be careful what you eat. ha ha!

Good morning my friends!! Janine I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. Hopefully the new med will help. XOXOXO

Lobster Judy? Can I come too? That sounds SO good. You and your onion rings...lol. I'd rather have a baked potato but that's just me.

Tia you are doing so well! You've got to be proud of yourself. I certainly would be.

Aussie I'm glad you're going to get a little something from your poor garden. Once those squash start coming on they'll probably be coming out of your ears. I love all the different kinds of squash mixed together and cooked with some celery (the way my grandmother always did it)

Yesterday I had McDonald's oatmeal, two yogurt parfaits, an apple, pistachios and a V8. For dinner I had a grilled chicken salad with basalmic from good old Jack...lol.

I stopped at the store this morning and they had Ranier cherries on sale for $2.99 a pound!! What a deal. Naturally I had to grab a couple of packages. I just might have to get some more and pig out on them since they're such a good price. I also got water, snap peas, yogurt and cottage cheese.

We're having some strange weather. It's overcast and misty this morning and only supposed to be in the 80's temp wise. I actually got cold in the night and had to pull the sheet up. It sure felt good for a change.

That's all for now. I hope everyone has a wonderful and healthy day!!

Hi Michelle,

Thank you for the encouraging words. It is starting to be a routine for me now, working out at the gym, so I just make it happen at least 1/2 hour a day. My selection of food intake (trying to avoid saying diet) is going well. I sometimes have too many calories but I think the exercise is compensating for that. Overall I feel well. I think I could be losing faster but I don't want to do that extra umph! So just happy with the weight coming off,
Thanks to you and everybody that posts here for the support.
Still looking for that wedding dress, I might just buy anything that fits:), getting desperate! Okay I need to stay calm.........alittle panic came on, ha!ha!

I hear ya Janine! I wasn't put long gone which is a relief. You know how those places are! I hope you're up and running soon and you fight as hard as you can against the depression. Just put 1 foot in front of the other and that's what I'm going to try doing two which is really hard

I'm signing off for the night. I hope all is well in rainbow land for everyone

Tia, don't worry, you'll find a dress. Here's an idea. Since you like something fairly simple, could you find a dressmaker and have one made? That's what I did umpteeump million years ago. I supplied the silk charmeuse and she made something slinky. It's another option to consider.

Aussie, things did not go as I wanted at the Yale Eye Center which was a kiss on the cheek and a quick goodbye. After 3 doctors each did a complete, poking exam on both eyes over 1 1/2 hours, they are sending me to a neuroophthalmologist. The scheduler told me that exam is 3 1/2 hours. Oh God! They don't seem to deal with anything that isn't dreadful according to Wikipedia, so I am trying not to get uptight and failing. My DH is going to a surgeon tomorrow because it appears as if an alien baby is about to pop out of his chest and his doctor thinks its a hernis. We are falling apart!

I'm sorry so many are struggling and I'd just like to yell, ME TOO! xxoo

Yes Kathy that is a lot of stuff to deal with hernias can be fixed they just sew him up a little so that part stays in place /

what are you symptoms for your eyes ? I never heard of that kind of specialist...sounds more like a lab type thing. Good luck kiddo
and that was great advice to Tia about finding a dressmaker to create a nice dress that's what My daughter did for her wedding

WOW Kathy! Hopefully this newest specialist will be able to come up with something to help your eyes.

I've developed a hernia - it's right above my navel. My doctor says it's a small one and as long as it doesn't bother me we'll continue to monitor it. I think it's one of those things that appear as the fat disappears. I do hope the one your hubby has is not serious or causes complications.

Like the saying goes - getting old is not for sissies.

In the meantime I'll be sending healing thoughts and prayers your way.

XOXOXO

Michelle
