    Severe Stomach Swelling and Pain
    PainNConfussed posted:
I am 35yr old female, with all sorts of problems lately. For the past 2 months or so I have been dealing with my stomach seriously swelling everytime I would eat something, and would be painful like my skin was going to split. Then constipation, and a few weeks after that it was everytime I would eat within 20 min or so I was vomitting it all back up. Never feeling nausa just a pain then vomit. I have been to the doctor they have done sonograms and upper GI test but everything came back clear except an abnormal pap. I am at my witts end I thow up everyday cant keep but maybe one meal a week down, and if I do then I have Diareahha. I dont know what to do next. When my stomach swells I look prego.. went to ER one night because the pain was so bad and I was having difficulty breathing, but they sent me home with some nausa medicine and abdominal crap meds..(like midol). For the past 5 weeks I have been to the doctor at least once a week, but no one can figure out what is wrong. Seeing a GI specialist at the end of the week but terrified that he will find nothing wrong. I am in so much pain and discomfort and it seems no one is listening, doc told me she could not give me any pain meds because it would cause constipation. So for two months I have been dealing with it and not sure how much more I can take.... any help would be much appreciated.

I'm a 41yr old female and have been going through alot of what your going through a yr and it's gottin worse sence Feb. I to have been to the DR and I had all kinds of tests done,a upper GI and a colonoscopy and ultra sounds internal and external, a CT scan and he took ten biopsy's and also said that I had alot of inflammation and it looked like Colitis he never gave me any meds. In the mean time my belly is bloated I also have alot of abdominal pain that goes to my back and rectal pain and vagina pain. I can't eat cause it hurts and alot of times I'm not hungry or it feels like I have ate a big meal. I'm also nausated all the time and I have vomitted a couple times but just mostly nausa and feeling sick. I have been to the ER also and all my blood work and urine tests come back normal they give me pain meds and just send me home and I'm not to keen on pain meds, it's a BIG joke really. I found out today that my Dr went on vacation. So his fill in called me and wanted to see me and he told me that he thought it could be a preferation and that he wanted a surgeon to look at me and maybe do a explyatory to see whats going on, well it sure didn't happen. The ER was paging him and calling him It took hrs befor he showed and It felt like he really didn't want to help and that's what he said, that he couldn't help me. He did say that I have a infection called ( Helicobacter pylori) and that I had Gastritis. I really don't know what to do anymore cause it seems like noone is listening to me, because all the bloodwork and tests come back normal. I guess something has to really happen befor they take is seriously and that's sad. I wonder if there are alot of other people out there that feel the same way??? I hope they find out what is wrong with you and I hope for the best. I hope that I also fing out what's going on with me cause I really can't take much more of this..

Have had all the test every time I see a new doctor always the same. Nothing concrete. I am praying that I have Celiac Disease. Neveah33 I will extend my prayers out to you. This has not been easy for me to loose out on all you do when your GUT tells you something is not right! And to all your family, I know it gets harder and harder to support us when the tests come back negitive, but hang in there we need your support!

Look for the Dr. Oz show that aired Sept. 1. Misdiagnoised Celiac Diease. I don't have the vomiting but everyday almost I severe nausea and abdominal pain.. Now my joints are beginning to ache.Try keeping diary of what you eat. if your like me one time I can eat something and it's ok and than the next ii'm sick for days. This CD was experienced by Ms. Hasselbeck from the tv program the View. So far in my kitchen, because I was to sick to go out, I was able to eat some Instant mashed potatoes that said "Gluten Free" Pray He'll give you the endurance you need untill you find your way.

I ended up back in the ER again and they gave me pain meds and two other kinda meds, it so happened that one of my test came back that I have the (H. pylori bacterium). I can't believe that it took all this time! They put me on this pac med and the cost of it was outta this world but at least they found something and it proves that I wasn't losing my mind and making it up. With these meds that I'm on I have noticed that one hr after taking them it feels like my stomach has alot of air and it pushes up in my chest and i get alot of cramps in my back, and my legs are aching, and there is this yuk taste in my throat. I just want to say Thank You guys for all your understanding and support and knowing where I was coming from. I hope that everyone gets some answers and recieves the proper treatment. Thank you again.

Get tested for h pylori. They can do a blood antibodies test and also a stool antigen test. But note, even though my blood antibodies test was positive, my stool antigen test was negative. I only tested positive after an endoscopy with biopsy.

My tests came back and I do have the H pylori and now i have been on meds and the meds seem to be working but there are times that I still have the pain, but the meds are yuk and i haven't had a bowl movement sence thursday I don't understand that at all when I was going seven to ten times a day. I sure hope these meds help I hope. They also give me a yuk taste in my mouth I keep hopin that all the side effects go away soon.
