stomache issues

Hi,
I have been having stomache issuses on and off since Oct.2011. My stomach would hurt like a stomach ache from eating too much candy never sharp pains, more like just a stomach ache. At first when I would eat something, I would feel my stomach gurgling and I would have to go straight to the bathroom for a bm. What ever I ate, usually resulted in me going to the bathroom right afterwards. I started taking probiotics and it helped. I went to one doctor in Oct.2011 that diagnosed me with H.pylori.. I went for a annual check up in Jan, of this year and all my cholestorol tests and liver tests, etc. came back normal. The doctor even gave me a new H.PYlori test that said It was negative. I am wondering if I have IBS. I have spells where I feel like Im constipated and have to use something to relieve it, then I have spouts where I have at least two bowel movements a day. There is no blood in my stools or anything. I have spouts where my stomach hurts(like this week). and then I will be fine for awhile. Normal bowel movements daily. I keep going through this cycle. I started back on my probiotics. Any suggestions on what is going on?

The stomach pain sounds similar to something I've gone through. It might be from gastritis, inflammation of the stomach, which makes me feel bloated, and full after eating a small amount. It also makes my stomach tender when touched, and sometimes feels like a stomach ache too. Does that sound familiar to you? I recently read an article about possible links between functional dyspepsia and IBS, which could explain why you feel stomach pain and have problems with bowel movements. I would suggest talking to your doctor about your problems, and maybe ask for a referral to a GI. There are several medications that can help with gastritis, which may help with your stomach aches, and there's stuff for IBS too, so don't suffer through it! Hope this is helpful.
