Gallbladder Surgery scare

Hello everyone....I am due to have my gallbladder removed here in a few weeks and I am scared to death!! I have read stories about different people and their different experiences. Some good and some bad. My problems started back in October 2012, when I was rushed to the emergency room due to extreme pain in my stomach. I was told I had a peptic ulcer. I was recommended to a GI specialist and was told I also had a hiatus hernia and a Gastric tumor. Since then, my doctor wanted to schedule another upper endoscopy with another specialist, that recommended it was my gallbladder that was causing my discomfort. He said I did not have gallstones but instead, I have debris growing in my gallbladder. He said it was best to have my gallbladder removed. I'm concerned because I have never had major surgery and I'm scared to death!!!! I have been doing alot of research and I'm really thinking about not having it done. But on the other hand, I know the risks of not having it done. I'm in desperate need of some advice and answers!!! Somebody please help!!
