Alkaline Phosphate level high/abdominal ultrasound clear

doublehippy posted:
I recently had an abdominal ultrasound because my yearly liver panel bloodwork came back with elevated Alkaline Phosphate levels (was 199). Had an abdominal ultrasound (completely normal).

Now my primary care physician wants me to follow up with a gastroenterologist. What would he be looking for re: diagnostic testing?
I'm assuming it might be further gall bladder tests and, if so, what?

Thanks so much for any input....
