Collagenous Colitus Diet
An_254573 posted:
Hi, I've just been diagnosed with collagenous colitis and I'm looking for any ideas of the types of food I should avoid or eat more of. If anyone has a diet plan out there and would be willing to share I would be most appreciative. Thank you!

I was diagnosed with gastroparesis. I can tell you the smartest thing I did was to visit a dietician.. I told the doctor at my follow-up visit that he should suggest that all patients visit a dietician following the diagnosis. Not only did I lose 10 pounds in 3 weeks but I felt 90% better. I never had to worry about my weight but the bloating and gas was just to much. The condition left me with no energy. I was surprised to find out my health insurance provided coverage with 3 visit subject to specialist co-pay.

My doctor suggested I get yogart and applesauce.. The only problem is I'm not 96 and have teeth. Strange.

Please visit a dietician for guidance. I'm going to make it a points to visit mine every year. Good Luck

Hey insurance101!
I just saw this. I also have bloating and gas everyday! How did you know the dietician you saw knew about your specific problem? I'm so glad you could get help, this and related issues are becoming a life stopper for me. Any advice you could offer would be appreciated!!
Happy New Year!
