I started taking a new medication a few years ago that really changed my life. It is called Mercaptopurine (Purinethol, 6-MP). Ask your doctor about it. As with all drugs there are side effects, mostly to the liver. Those problems will show up shortly after starting it. You will need to have your blood tested on a regular basis.

However..... as I said, it changed my life where I have been in remission since just after starting it. I take one pill a day and live like a normal human being, doing all the things I want to do and go on trips and out to dinner and to the movies and hold a job, etc.
