IBS Sufferers

As the father of a 28 year old IBS sufferer, I have had to work very hard to find ways of making my daughters life bearable and above all, as close to normal as it could be... IBS, a terrible syndrome/disease, attempts to rob people of just that, normalcy... As the symptoms/disease get(s) more pronounced, the quality of life spirals down on an ever endless period of pain and discomfort... It has been my experience that most doctors, not being GI specialists, don't even attempt to step outside the realm of prescribing drugs and endless counseling. Having said all of that... I want everyone to know that there is help out there... Countless web sites, posted by IBS sufferers, have an enormous amount of help, suggestions and ideas... All one has to do is find the right answers for their own particular IBS problem... It affects different people, different ways and no one treatment or suggestion works for everybody.... One site that was truly helpful to us was http://www.bountiful-blog.com No, we are not connected to the lady (an IBS sufferer herself), but, we owe her more than we could ever repay... The answers are out there... The relief can be found... You just have to find out what works for you.... Good luck...
