Cold, Cold, COLD!
RanMao posted:
[TRIGGER] Because I'm at a pretty low weight (86 pounds) I'm always SUPER cold! Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to stay warm without bundling up like it's December? In class, my lips always turn purple and my fingers get numb from the a/c. Does this happen to anyone else? Please please please I really need suggestions!
Caprice_WebMD_Staff responded:
Hi Ran-Mao,

I think you know what you need to do.... talk to someone about the low weight and get support in that direction so that you're less cold in the first place. (((hugs)))

I already am seeking help, and I'm slowly getting better. I just wanted to know if anyone had suggestions to help me keep from freezing into a human ice cube .
Oh and by the way, I really love your quote from Christopher Robin, it made my day.
megmo84 replied to RanMao's response:
Bottom line... You must gain weight. No way around it. Until then, try sipping hot liquids. They'll warm your body from the inside out.

Wish you the best
Caprice_WebMD_Staff replied to RanMao's response:

Good to hear that you're already getting help, RanMao.

As you work towards gaining weight to help with this in the long run, some movement may help, hot showers and heating pads, and as Megmo suggested, drinking something hot.

Let us know how it goes for you.

P.S. Glad you like the quote.
