hi. I am new here.

I get stressed when I do I eat. Especially after i get into arguements with my family. I feel the need to eat and eat. It also didn't help being from the family that I do. They give you a huge quantity. they don't take no for an answer. this christmas i was at my aunts. my younger cousin was was full and my aunt just wanted to keep feeding her. thankful one of my other relatives spoke up for her. I have dealt with this my whole life. I am very overweight due to this and other things. I want to be a person with good eating habits.

Hi Shadowrose and welcome here,

There are so many families who show love by pushing food. It can be wonderful in a way, the shared enjoyment, etc., but also can mean the need to create boundaries within yourself to enforce when with family.

Perhaps start by working on creating healthy boundaries for yourself (not dieting or drastic restricting, but slow changing the choices you make in kind and quantity) when alone.

Do you have any support... a doctor, therapist, dietitian? Start looking at online sites for healthy eating tips, including here at WebMD.
