Thanksgiving roll call!

Just wanted to be the first to tell everybody Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you all have a good one. And enjoy the time with your families. I actually have the day off i go in that night at 10pm but have the day off so i am going to cook my first thanksgiving dinner. I am nervous and excited all at the same time. Oh does anybody know the best way to make homemade brown gravy?

Hey! Looking forward to Thanksgiving as well

I make gravy this way:

If I roast a turkey in the oven, after its done I take the pan and scrap up all the fat and bits from bottom on pan. In a pot over medium-low make a roux which is equal parts butter and flour then add fat and bits from pan and the juices from the turkey and broth if you need it. season with a bay leaf and salt/pepper to taste. cook, then strain and use a fat separator measuring cup if you like. THere you go!
