Just for Fun: Wednesday Watching - Summer TV?

We are sad that American Idol is over. I might try to get tickets for the tour when they roll through Los Angeles.

Now, the whole family is into America's Got Talent . My husband is watching "Hatfields and McCoys " I usually only turn on the TV alone when I'm folding laundry - Chopped, Restaurant Impossible and Cupcake Wars are always good. I'd love to see the Daily Show but can never catch it.

Other than that, we're getting ready to cheer for the LA Kings in the Stanley Cup Finals - 1st game tonight!

What about you? Do you have any new shows you are watching or favorites that you always watch?

Hi Haylen,

I'm rather tired of all the reality shows.

I enjoy the cartoons from the days before cable. I love the boomerang channel. The Flintstones, and The Jetsons. The old Looney Tunes guys that are on the cartoon channel.

I'll watch the NFL forever. Nothing like a good game.

I've learned a lot watching the the discovery health channel or TLC.

The newest show that has caught my attention is KORRA, THE NEW ADVATAR.

When there is nothing on tv that catches my eye, I grab a book. I have already read 11 this new year.

I have a game tonight. Go OKC!!!!

take care,

I'm from Oklahoma City - let me tell you, that town is ON FIRE for the Thunder.

I'm holding my breath waiting for the Kings to play tonight - I can't even think of a Stanley Cup here without getting tears in my eyes!

My kids love boomerang - is that where Scooby Do is? The current fave.

I'm a bookworm - just joined a book club and am reading "March". I just finished w Johnathan Franzen novels - he is amazing. Who are your fave authors Angie?

Hi Haylen,

Yes, Boomerang is where Scoobly Do is.

Right now I don't have a favorite author. But Ben Carson has caught my attention. He writes about ep and brain surgeries. I also pick books about jazz history, r&b history, or football.

Earlier this year I read the Hunger Games trilogy(that took 3 or 4days), and the Bourne Identity trilogy(about 1 week).

I can read all day if my family would not interrupt me. UGH!!!

I spent 3 hrs in Barnes and Noble this Friday. I plan to make that a monthly outing for myself. A warm mocha, frap, or latte, and a good book makes for a fun day.

Go Thunder!!!! Good luck on the Stanley Cup!!

YES, OKC DID IT!!!!

Now all the naysayers can apologize for thinking the Thunder are too young, inexperienced, and la-de-da-de-da.

Haylen, enjoy this victory. Let us learn that if we don't take to heart the disbelief others have in us, we can succeed.

PARTY TIME!!!!! Frap with extra carmel, LOL!!!

Yum Frap!

Unfortunately, my beloved Kings have to get on a plane to Jersey to try and clinch the Stanley Cup Final...

One outta 2 - not bad
