see my neurlogist every 2-3 mmonths and he does 25-30 miutes visits for me.

I wasjust at my pcp in Hi and got a 30 minute visit out of him.

Somtimes you just hae to find the right one. IT tooko me 4 years before I finally gotthe neuro I hae now, and have had the PCP now for almost a year since moving to HI. The oneon the manland alsospoeent alot of time with me when I was sick.

I just geuess that Iam one of the lucky ones.

Thank You Phylis! Yes, this is what all DRS Should do. Mine have varied over the yrs. But, I now have a neuro who does take time to 'listen' & answer questions. Unfortunately, I am still looking for a PCP who will do the same. His Answer to Everything: Age & Lifestyle. I agree, but, Know in my Gut, there is more to it than That!

Wow, I have been very blessed in my medical choices.

My nuerologist in the Bay Area was simply wonderful. He was patient and listened to me. He also wanted to hear how I was feeling about the current therapy. He gets a birthday card from me each year. I recently received a "hope all is going well for you" note from him.

The docs who took care of me in Mpls were also a wonderful, eceptional team. Many times I felt they had all right to throw me out of the office because my seizures would become so erractic. They stayed by my side. I will always love them.

I did have trouble with a neurologist when I moved to Vegas. This first one wanted to see me monthly. He would take notes, sometimes make changes, and say "Make an appt for next month." I felt he was shoveling one pt after another in.

My current specialist is very exceptional. He takes the time to listen to me. He definitely feels my input to be an important part of my therapy. "When do think you need to come in for your next appt?" When I suggested an elimintation of a med(vimpat), he was very pleased that I felt that way. He works with his patients. He also leads my montly ep support group.

I have also been fortunate with my general docs, dentists, gyno, etc. I have been very blessed in regards to my docs.

Insead of giing me cards at different holidays my neuro signs autographs for me. I pulled a pic of him out of the facility's website on 2 seperate occasyions and he signed the first one "happy holidays" and sghined his name to it. the second time a year later I pulled up another picture off that same site and he sighned that one as well. That one he signed "happy new year" then signed his name. He gives hugs once in a while when my diary is looking really looking good or I look like death warmed over. VERY genrous guy. I even have a pic of us together while i was on the mainland and my mom was trying out her new digital camera and he let me have that picture.

I have had 2 others that tols me I was faking them and then kept giving me meds. Now why would they continue giving me meds if they thought i was a faker?

I have had this neuro for just over 6 years.

Calm down, I'm talking Baseball. BEAT THE LOS ANGELES DODGERS!!!!

The Bay Area and Los Angeles have always had this rivalry with baseball, football, and basketball. Kinda like the old west.

Remember, I grew up in the Bay Area and stay faithful to them. No matter how bad the Raiders play, I'll will always be with them. And they can be embarrassing to us. UGH!!!

I have nothing against the Stanley Cup.
