Botox as a treatment.

Hello all,

A friend of mine in Jamaica has a son with cerebral Palsy and he uses Botox to control his epilepsy. I have never heard of this before, and was looking to find more information on it, but can't. She says he has a two week supply at a time and it's 130 dollars for that amount. It all sounds wrong to me, but I am open to everyone proving me that she's right.

Thanks for any info, or links to where I might find this information for myself.

Hello Marlene,

I just used our drug/supplement tab up top. It is used for tremors or muscle spasms. But, says nothing about treating Epilepsy. Please use the drug tab & read more. You did not say whether it was injection or not. But, I think you are rite. This med should not be used for Epilepsy & it does not sound like it is Good for Kids, period!

I would be seeking Another opinion ASAP if I was the Mom!

Love Candi
