Yes I have returned.. After a lengthy absence which I have been doing well but very busy. Hope all of you had a Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year. The holidays were good. it is just after where it gets really stressful. A couple of days ago I hear a frantic call across the room for help. My sons grandfather fell in the bathroom. For a ordinary person this wouldn't be a problem but bear in mind this is a rather large man. His balance is poor at best. It seems like he has pretty much given up. It is sad really. I spent the night with him in the hospital which in itself was an adventure to say the least. After getting morphine for the extreme pain he was in. He started to go into cardiac arrest or so I thought. I ran out to the nurses station & did what I was supposed to do. I had been up all day when the paramedics came to take him to the ER. I ended up putting myself in extreme danger with the combo of stress & sleep deprivation. By the time I was able to get home & get some sleep it was 36 hours later. No one else here knew of the danger I was putting myself in. i didn't think about it at the time I just knew he had to go to the hospital. I also knew that there was a possibility that he might not make it through the night. I don't know how I managed to get through with no seizures. but I did. It just seems that when there is a pressure situation I am usually the go to guy. I am not saying I don't ever crack under pressure but I am more of a take charge kind of person in situations such as this. He has made it through the night & is on the road to recovery. looks better he is just a little dopey from the powerhouse meds they have him on. So I guess you could say it all ended well for all.
