Meds and migraines

Hello,
I'm not sure if it's related but I get these REAL Obnoxious headaches so bad that my skull hurts. like last night for example, the bone on both sides of where my spine connects to my skull hurt so bad i had to stand in the shower as Hot as I could stand it for about 20 minutes and even then the relief was fleeting. I rolled up a Towel draped a moist heating pad over it to have heat on my neck. I don't even bother with aspirin or any of that any longer none of it works, none of it. I say "they" as a group description because it attacks me for a few days or a few weeks or up to a couple months at a time. it lasts for a day or 2 days then goes for a few hours or a day then comes right back then goes for a couple days or so and comes right back and that can last a month or more, give or take then just like that it's gone. sometimes for a few months sometimes a year or two or longer. it just depends. there's no rhyme or reason, I don't think it's food related. it may or may not be meds but I've been on the same meds for awhile and the same thing happened on other EPI meds too. all I know is that it hurts so bad sometimes that if there was a "woodchipper" nearby I might consider it to get rid of the pain. I said might... because OMG it hurts. the Dermis = epi and Hypo that covers my skull hurts to touch. not my face but the skull from forehead to neck. my eyes feel like they're going to liquefy and pour out of my sockets. so it's affecting the optic nerve too I guess. yesterday was the 3rd time in 8 days so far and even though it's gone for now I still know it's hiding in there still waiting .. for what ?? i don't know. thank GOD I still had some pain killers left from my surgery in December but that's a band-aid too and only works once or twice. Coffee works sometimes but only sometimes and I just found out Chocolate ( M&M's) worked once too. Endorphins ?? who knows. out of 6 Neurologists I've had over the years not 1 can tell me what's wrong. so maybe that woodchipper might come in handy after all...no i'm not despondent or depressed just need options to relieve the excruciating pain. if anybody knows what a ramset is....options only options. nothing ELSE is working.

Hi Sirius, Welcome back. I hate to hear you are having this Issue. Yes, this is Very Relevant. Researchers Proved Headaches/migraines can be co-morbid w/ Epilepsy. Columbia University wrote about Their Findings yrs ago. Options: A New DR! An Epileptologist (seizure specialist) (to locate one near you visit http://www.epilepsytalk.com/ ) Have your Eyes Examined! Consider a Chiropractic Specialist. http://www.miraclechiro.com/ Or a massage Therapist.

Are you noting these episodes in a Daily Journal, along w/ other necessary Info. (I know I probably suggested it B4 ) We have Journal Info in Helpful Hints.

Keep us updated. Know I care! Hugs!

Oh Sirius, I feel your discomfort. Since my first AED back in '75, I have been troubled with headaches. Like you nothing worked. It is a pain.

I have a constant headache in the area of the skul where my lobectomy was performed. Dana(clarinet2) has the same problem. Her surgery was in '01 whereas mine was in '02.

I hope you find relief soon. Mine have never been as bad as what you're descriping. Keep us posted whenever you can.
