What Causes Seizures in People With Photosensitive Epilepsy?

Have you been affected by any of the triggers mentioned in the article? There was a discussion here recently about Facebook Timeline triggering some . How do you avoid certain triggers? Share your story here!

Haylen, flashing AND flourscent lights are triggers for me.
They give me those aura headaches and I cannot concentrate with either or both of those. I will probably have seizures sometime during the day or that evening if I have to be around them very much. Thankfully, mine are only partial complex seizures, not the grand mals that some have to deal with.

I am glad I quit FB back in 2010 for many reasons...

A family member had the first seizure after driving home in terrible rain storm with the headlights of the cars blazing in his eyes. Could this have triggered seizures? It had never happened before and is still not under control and it has been years since that first one.

Mickie,

Yes, it's possible. Has that person experienced More seizures due to lights as suggested in the article? Do you or that person keep a Daily Journal? (more info under Tips) Is he on any medication at this time? Please, tell me more about his Journey so I can assist. I am Not a DR. But, I can Help point you w/ more info.
