    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

A friend of mine had what he thought was a seizure. They could find nothing but he lost his license also. For one documented seizure. A year later he had a "seizure" but was dead before he hit the floor. They found in autopsy a kink in one of the artery's in his heart. No warning other than a seizure a year ago. Go to a cardiologist if you haven't already done so.

The Heart Attack May have been seizure related. Over 65 % of people w/ seizure activity are diagnosed w/ 'Unknown Cause'. It may be possible he was experiencing 'undetected' types of seizures. I just learned that I have a seizure disorder where I have seizures in my Sleep w/ no physical Activity/evidence. After 30 yrs of Normal EEG's.

I Know Any seizure activity can affect the Heart. But, I will do some 'homework' & Learn More about HA or Heart Problems Causing Seizures. I do know that Over 65% of people w/ Seizures have 'unknown Cause'. Plus, I agree, anyone w/ 1 or more seizures Should have their Heart checked. I know my Sis had a Stroke after 36 yrs of Seizure activity. I had my check up several yrs ago & all was fine. I am considering asking DR for another test to check Arteries. Thank You for Sharing & your Great Advice!

OK, Now I Know! Heart Attacks or Heart Problems Can cause seizures. WHY? Because a HA or Stroke can cause a Lack of Oxygen in the brain & cause the seizure.
