Prostate Cancer Patient that has a Heart Condition

I am in desperate need of an answer. My fiancee is 54 yrs. and takes medication for a heart condition. Recently he had prostate cancer surgery, which is now causing him to suffer from Erectile Dysfunction. He is extremely frustrated and it is putting a major strain on our relationship. He is unable to take prescription medication, (such as Viagra), due to his heart condtion. That other options does he have to help him to regain an erection? Is there any SAFE medication, items (such as pumps) etc. Please Hurry and Help!!! He is getting very depressed, defensive and pushing me out of his life.

Long before the pills were available, there were many other options to treat erectile dysfunction, including injections, prosthetic devices, vacuum pumps, implantable pumps, etc..

Has he considered making an appointment with a Urologist to discuss these options?

Thanks for the response. He has tried the pump and claims that it isn't helping. He ended up trying Viagra a couple times but didn't work. He heard that there is a shot called Caverject or something like that, he tried once and said he got a little sensation but waiting on doctors and insurance crap to give that another try.

Thanks for your suggestion. This might be one of his only options left. I'm assuming it has worked great for you. My fear now is that they snipped too much of the nerves and I'm not sure if anything will help. Will penile implants work even if there is a lot of nerve damage?
