Not responding to Viagra as expected

My doctor has just prescribed Viagra 50mg for me, and I have tried it twice now.

I do get *some* reaction to it, but not in the way i was expecting.

I was hoping that this medication would increase the efficacy of my erection and the tissue associated with it. But I could not notice any material change in the erectile tissue. I did get a lot of flushing in the face, and a great deal of increased circulation on the skin of the penis, so that its appearance was deep red, rather than the usual pink. But there was absolutely no positive effect on the performance of the erectile tissue.

I did notice some general increased warmth throughout my body, and a certain sensitivity and pleasure I don't usually feel, but I can't translate that into the firm, reliable erection I'm looking for.

I'm quite healthy, in my late sixties, no major medical issues, no contraindicated medications. I exercise regularly, diet, do not take alcohol or drugs, and live an otherwise fairly pristeen lifestyle.

But this Viagra is not working for me in the way I would like it to.
I don't know anyone else who takes it, so it's hard for me to get local feedback.

Is it possible that I am not, for whatever reasons, a good candidate for Viagra? Are there cases where the patient reports overall lack of expected response? Does it simply not work for some people?

I tried Viagra, Levitra and Cialis and found that Cialis was the only one that really gave me the erection I needed.

Ask your doctor about raising the Rx to 100mg. I tried 50mg. and it didn't do much. Then I tried 100mg. and got better results. How many times have you tried it? I've heard that it can take 5 or 6 times with some men for its full effect to kick in. Good luck.
