ED is new to us.

Hi. My husband is 35 years old, has Type 1 Diabetes and a non-working thyroid. He was diagnosed with Diabetes when he was about 21 years old. He also has what we think is Eczema which he has had pretty much since he was born. He was recently given 250mg of Terbinafine for a bad skin rash he developed. He has healed up pretty good.

The reason for the above history is the past 2 times we have had sex he has experienced ED. It has happened before over the course of our marriage (12 years) but this time was different. He is soft in the beginning and then it just goes CAPUT.

We have had recent stresses of moving and him going to a 3rd shift job from a 1st job in the past 2 months. He has been on 3rd shift for a month now.

Also, we do not have sex that often and at least in the past 3 years. That is another thing, but we are trying to have another child. It took us 7 years to have our daughter and I am not getting any younger.

My whole concern is for the past two encounters this has happened. Also, I am overweight and trying to lose the weight, so I guess the attractiveness could have worn off.....I don't know. He swears that is not it. I know he loves me and this is just another thing we have to face together.

My questions is what do we do first. We do not have insurance and he is not eligible until June 1st. I don't want to avoid having sex....should I go to GNC and see if they have any male performance things or wait and go to a urologist??

Any help or advice is appreciated.

First off I am sure that he loves you as he says and so drop that idea from your mind.

Diabetes can have an effect on ones ablity to get an erection. But that sounds like it is not the whole thing. Perhaps the move and change in his job does not help either. I would recommend that you wait till June and get him in to see a Good Doc who is knowledgeable in the problems of Diabetes drug interferance and just the new stresses of life he is going through.

He may just need a little help in the way of Viagra, Levitra or Cialis. Love him as always and get him to see a Doc. Some times the Doc's have free samples of the above drugs. God Bless you with a new baby.
