Bleeding after ejaculation
avatar
MZita posted:
Sometimes after longer then normal sex, my boyfriend (38 years old) has blood in his semen after he ejaculates. During ejaculation, he says it's very intense and sometimes hurts. Could this be the situation of burst vessels? I'm worried because he does take meds for seizures and eventhough this is not a side effect, I worry. Should we have major concern or should we see an eurologist?

Anytime there is blood outside the body it's probably a bad thing, even if it's not life-threatening. It's quite literally a red flag, meaning he needs some medical attention. Yes, he needs to see a urologist. Ejaculation should not be painful under any circumstances. There are many things that could contribute to the presence of blood in his semen, and he should inform his urologist about his health conditions and medications when he has the exam.
