Glaucoma and Caffeine
avatar
ThreadTech posted:
I've recently read an article that states there was a link between caffeine and Glaucoma. I have been diagnosed with open angle glaucoma and use eye drops every night for this. I have only 2 cups of coffee a day reguarly. Occasionally for a migraine I will have 4 to 5 cups a day. But this happens only once or twice a year. By using the eye drops am I defeating the purpose by drinking coffee? Should I go off coffee altogether, or just limit it to one a day? Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

This article doesn't prove a significant link between caffeine and control of glaucoma. Your coffee drinking should not intefere with your glaucoma treatment.
