Ok so recently it hurts when I flinch or blink it feels bruised. I have always had bad bags under my eyes so I do not see a real difference when I look at it. I feel a tiny bum when i rub the bottom of my eye close to my nose that seems bigger than the one I have on my right eye suggesting that it may be swollen. The right one feels fine and I have never worn makeup at all so it didn't match the other post I read about this feeling.

    Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
Its hard to know without examining you exactly what this may be. However, anything which is tender and located near the edge of the eyelid is likely to be a stye/chalazion.

It would be reasonable to use warm compresses i.e. a clean wash cloth soaked in very warm water pressing on your closed eyelids for five minutes several times a day.

If this doesn't improve within a few days then make an appointment to see your eye doctor and get a definite diagnosis.
