    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
    Dear Sunshineglow,

The report that you supplied says that your vision at distance is 20/30 in both eyes but is likely correctable with glasses to 20/20. It does not address whether you possess glasses to obtain your best possible vision. Could your symptom be the result of your not having the best possible glasses? Other than an unmet need for glasses the remaining possibilities include a subtle disorder of the clear portions of your eyes (cornea and internal lens) or that there is no objective abnormality in your eyes.

Going forward, please consider a "second opinion" eye examination searching for a subtle abnormality in the cornea or lens of the eye as well as determining whether corrective eyeglasses are necessary.

I apologize but there is an obvious limit in the amount of advice that can be given based on your descriptions and those of others without the benefit of doing the full examination myself.
