I am a 32 yr old female. And around the same time my pinky and ring finger on my left hand start to get numbness and a tingling feeling. Could the eye and fingers be connected? Why is my eyelid doing this? It is bother some when driving a lot.

Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
Mild and harmless eyelid twitching is common. However, it generally gets better after a few weeks.

Unlikely that its connected to numbness of two fingers but that is a good question for your primary care doctor.

Again, twitching of the eyelid is common and harmless but if there is no tendency towards improvement, its time to see an ophthalmologist.
