A week ago, I noticed that my left eye vision is not clear and is blurred. I consulted Opthalmologist and then Retina Consultant. My both eyes were scanned (OCT) and then I was told that I have CSCR (central serous chorioretinopathy) in the left eye and hence the blurredness in the vision. I have been adviced to use "Nevanac" (3 drops a day) for about 3 weeks and to come again for scanning (OCT) to check if the problem has reduced/increased.

Can someone help me understand how "Nevanac" plays a role in reducing/treating CSCR ?

Is it common to use "Nevanac" for CSCR?

Are there any other medications for CSCR?
    Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
Generally, most people with central serious chorioretinopathy will improve with no treatment.

In other types of conditions which cause retinal swelling such as after cataract surgery, non-steroidal antiinflammatory drops such as Nevanac are used. However, this is not a usual treatment for central serous chorioretinopathy.

Thanks Doctor. In general, how long does it take to recover the original vision? Is there any any Dos and Donts or medication to recover soon?
