    Uknown Eye Problem
    tannersummers posted:
For the past 2 -3 months I have been having bad eye problems. Every single day from morning to night my eyes are in pain. They consist of me having to blink a lot, when I do blink, it is not smooth it feels rough. After a while they feel dryish, itchy, and burning. I am constantly rubbing them and stuff. Under my eye is red because of the rubbing. It has gotten worse and gets worse when I am in the car and are sensitive to the light. Now I don't think it is an infection since it looks normal until my eyes get blood shot. I have tried many type of eye drops, antihistamines (One even prescribed by doctor), lubricant, red eye drops, and allergy drops. None work. The doctor can't seem to figure it out and it is getting so bad I can't even drive far distances anymore. I am tired of the burning, blinking, the rubbing and it is bad I ran out of ideas and things to do and desperate for help. This makes it hard for me to attend school if I have to drive far to get to campus and stay up late studying when my eyes are in pain. It was not always like this, one day they started hurting and never stop. The mornings they are fine. for the first 30 minutes. But starting lately I wake up and they feel like rocks are inside. Any other questions feel free to email me so I can explain n more. Tannersummers@gmail . c o m

Dry eyes can sometimes cause the symptoms that you mention.

You definitely need a diagnosis and a treatment plan. You need to see an ophthalmologist and preferably one that has special training in corneal and external diseases.

Go to and select the tab on top "find an eye MD" and then search for a "cornea/external disease" specialist in your area.
