Right side of my face has been hurting
An_254072 posted:
Well I have been having this problem with my right eye for maybe like 5 months or even longer.. My right eye has been hurting its like in the inside and also my cheek and jaw it's really more like the right side of my face and its really painful and I massage it sometimes and it starts feeling kinda numb and sometimes my right eye starts twitching and I get really bad migraines I don't know if that's whats causing the pain but I've been to a eye doctor and they said everything was fine and also sometimes I see that my right side of the my face looks kinda droopy just a little though and then it goes away so the pain also comes and goes and I have no idea what's causing this I'm really frustrated and also sometimes my right ear gets plugged and right nostril so something weird is going on with the right side of my face
Alan M Kozarsky, MD responded:
I'm somewhat suspicious that you may have a nerve based issue (neuropathy) or atypical migraine headaches causing all of your symptoms and as your eye doctor concluded, your eye is likely not the problem.

I'd start out with a visit to a neurologist to try to sort this out.
Laraa replied to Alan M Kozarsky, MD's response:
That's also what my mom said but I'm just kinda worried it would be something more serious because also my eye would some days appear smaller than the left but I think it got swollen which would make it look smaller and sometimes the right of my face just feels weird and numb and the back of my head (the right side) would hurt so the pain would go from my eye to me jaw to the back I don't know it's a weird feeling but thank you because I wasn't sure what kind of doctor to go to but I will definitely visit a neurologist. Thank you once again for your time
Laraa replied to Laraa's response:
I'm sorry that was also me I just made my message anon the first time
Laraa replied to Alan M Kozarsky, MD's response:
Sorry again that reply was to you and I replied to myself by accident I meant that was me I just didn't reply to you anon this time
